To cool down a building, nothing is more efficient that taking advantage of the meteorological conditions. This technique is even more efficient when you combine is with new automation technology enabling the equipment to adapt to the meteorological conditions. The solutions Genatis promote energy sobriety by automating connected devices.

Associated challenges

Genatis’ goal is to mutualize the benefits from natural ventilation (without fans), hybrid ventilation or adiabatic cooling systems and sun protections. Energy sobriety consists in obtaining the desired room temperature while using a minumum of electric energy. Genatis solutions answer to this challenge.

Summer comfort

Summer comfort is one of 3 major directions of the new RE 2020 when designing new buildings. The range of Genatis’ solutions enable, from the smoke extraction regulatory equipment, the application of such solutions to ensure optimal comfort.

Example of Genatis’ offer

On the façade or roof, products commercialized Genatis’ brand by Souchier-Boullet communicate between each other through a simple Modbus network.

  • Electric boxes for Sadap or Hyperion open the NSHEV (vents), façade vents and air inlets connected to the temperature regulation. Natural ventilation is the first type of energy used without fan. Note: smoke extraction being mandatory by national regulations, the use of its equipment for ventilation is very economic, and the fire safety function is still in accordance with the NFS 61-938 standard.
  • Adiabatic cooling systems Adiabox operate with free-cooling ventilation (without fan), and hybrid ventilation (mechanical ventilation). Then, they would operate with evaporation mode if required.
  • Tellier-Brise-Soleil mobile sun protections limit the sun ray impact thanks to its blades which follow the sun azimuth.

Example of digital automation: Box Multipack Genatis by Souchier-Boullet

The homogeneity of the digital controllers from the Genatis’ platform by Souchier-Boullet can equip Genatis’ controllers’ programs and connect them through Modbus network. Touchscreens on the bus will allow a smooth management of the installation: hourly programs, temperature thresholds, alarms, etc.

Aside, these controllers are equipped with a second Modbus network to eventually connect with the Genatis Box Multipack  by Souchier. Then, additional optimization algorithms are applied such as meteorological conditions anticipation via web browsers. The user interface will allow an intuitive operation of the system.

Anticipating the meteorological conditions will allow taking advantage of the cooler conditions in the morning according to temperatures in the afternoon (Genatis’ AeroPack V3 by Souchier – Smart Natural Ventilation (VNI) system).
